Youth Ministry offers a warm and welcoming place for students in grades 6-12 to engage in regular fellowship as they explore and grow their relationship with God through Bible study, worship, community service, and retreats. Students meet most Sunday nights from 4:30-6:30 pm, which includes dinner.

Haygood UMC is in partnership with Virginia Wesleyan University to provide chaplaincy services to the VWU community. These services include providing religious, spiritual, and moral leadership and counsel and facilitating church relations within the Virginia Conference of The United Methodist Church. Students from VWU are encouraged to participate in weekly worship, mission opportunities, internships, and work-study opportunities.
